Most people on earth walk around totally disconnected from the self. If we were connected, the world would not be in the state it is in. As we spiritually mature and work on ourselves, our heart and higher chakras activate. Only then do we reclaim our full connection to ourselves and do we understand where we fit into the game of life. That in turn enables us to develop empathy, and bring help and assistance to others without wanting anything in return.

Before reaching that stage however, we each (usually) only have our bottom three Chakras activated. Those are the ones that deal with our earthly lives: survival, appetites and personal power. By the time we reach 25 to 35, most of us experience a kind of inner-awakening as we begin to think differently about life and our place on earth; where we fit in, and what we can contribute. If we work on ourselves, this is the time of self-development. During this time of inner growth and opening up, our heart Chakras are activated and opened up.

For some people this process is long and hard and for others, not so difficult. Remember that no two people are the same. We all have different paths, histories, interests and also purposes. Some people only reach the stage of introspection in their later years. There is no real set age to have an awakening, but the average age for awakening is around 25 to 35.

Awakening your heart is very important. It is the Chakra that connects, and therefore balances our earthly needs with our heavenly ones. Once your Heart Chakra is opened, you start thinking more empathically about others. As your Anahata (Heart Chakra) blooms, your energy rises and your Throat Chakra, Third Eye and Crown activates. By going through this growth process you open your channels to the higher realms and your Spiritual gifts activate.

It is beneficial for us to activate all of our Chakras because by doing so, we become whole. We have a lot of Chakras or Energy Points in the Human body of which we now have access to 12, but most people start off by activating only the seven Major ones first. When we reach a certain stage in our development, activating the remaining 5 will take place as we grow.

Energy Healers and Reiki Masters will additionally have the Palm Chakras activated, and some also the ear chakras and higher heart chakra. The ear chakras are situated above the ears and slightly to the middle of the head, and the higher heart chakra is slightly above the heart, in the middle of the chest..

Information about the five ascension chakras:

Earth Star

The Earth Star Chakra is situated about thirty centimetres below your feet. The colors associated with this Chakra are Black and White. This is your link with the earth.  The seeds of your potential germinate as you work with earth’s energy. Walk barefoot on soil or sea sand, grass or any other areas where you connect with her directly, as wherever you walk this Chakra is physically connected to you by nerve endings in your feet. Earth Star helps you to ground so you don’t feel flighty or airy. For you to be able to grow high and strong in your spirituality, you need to have strong roots.

Navel Chakra

Your Navel Chakra is situated about two fingers’ width above the Navel. It deals with the way we interact with others, and encourages us to treat everyone with respect and acceptance. The color is a glowing golden orange when healthy.

Causal Chakra

The color is pure white. It is situated about ten centimeters above and behind the Crown. This Chakra when activated is where we receive guidance and wisdom from the higher spiritual realms. Energetically this Chakra aligns with the spinal column. This Chakra will not open for you if you are working mainly from a place of ego. It is purely concerned with our spiritual development.

Soul Star

The color is a clear Magenta. When activated the wisdom of your soul is brought forward for you to access in your daily life. It is located about fifteen centimeters above the head and is said to be the connection with the Milky Way galaxy and pulses information from the Galactic Source to each awakened individual.

Stellar Gateway / Divine Gateway

This is a very special Chakra, as when this is activated you start to access light from Source. The color is a pure brilliant Gold. Needless to say, this is the highest link we can make with all of creation (at this particular point in evolution). Situated about thirty centimeters above the head this Chakra connects to the Cosmos. Meditating on unconditional love, non-judgement, grace and compassion towards all living beings we can prepare for this chakra to activate.
